「Great location with several bars & restaurants within a short walk, parking just a short walk away from 5pm to 9am. Room was clean & bathroom spacious a good large shower cubical. Breakfast was freshly cooked & very nice to start the day with. When back in area will be on my list to stay again. 」

「The Beach Hotel is a social enterprise run by the YMCA as an apprenticeship scheme. In light of this we had quite modest expectations for our stay. But these were misplaced - the hotel is spotlessly clean, and run by professional, welcoming staff. The occasion was a large family reunion, and the restaurant served us all with a good simple dinner in an efficient and timely way. Service was excellent. The lodge does not offer breakfast or dining but is just a 5 minute walk into the city centre. Overall it was great value - can highly recommend and would return. 」

「It has only been 2 months since my last stay here and it was as good as ever. Staff as always were really friendly and make you feel at home. I had a thoroughly enjoyable evening meal as well as a great breakfast. A decent night's sleep set me up for the day and I look forward to coming back here.」
