"There is plenty of room here for a family of 7 to be comfortable. We enjoyed walking down to the bay and it's very close to the Jinko station. There isn't much for food nearby, but the street car runs often and they have a menu of conbini type foods that you can purchase there. Lots of Manga to read, several TVs to watch in the common area, a little play area for young kids, plentyof seating for eating meals, easy to clean up after yourself, showers were never crowded. "Very friendly staff. The typical japanese breakfast was very good. You need a 30 minute walk to the ferry to onomichi (100Yen) or you can order a taxi to the ferry (around 1000Yen). The landscape of the islands is amazing. We made a bycicle daytrip to the other islands and went back to Onomichi with a ferry."
