「It was excellent value, comfy and cosy. Loved that there was a bath AND shower (useful if you break your wrist so bath is the only option). Staff were really nice and helpful, and cheered me up after hospital with hot chocolate. No food as out of season (so check first if you want breakfast). I would go back though as great base for walks」

「Helpful staff , excellent room」

「Excellent location. Our first room was outside the building had a bad smell.」

「Robin at reception was a true gem and the best part about the hotel. After her showing us to our room it all went downhill sadly. Bar staff and restaurant staff were inconsistent, didn't listen, were abrupt and stopped talking to us to chat to other people that had entered the pub. No thank you after the purchase of drinks, just a swift turn away. Told us what soup was available after I'd mentioned a week of Puree'd soup in Scotland had not been good... what soup did I get, puree'd veg after...

「Excellent all round. Would definitely recommend」

「I've stayed here, overnight, on two occasions in the last month. During both stays I have come down for a continental breakfast either at 7.45am or 8.30am only to find the through door into the breakfast area was locked and no one around to give access. This meant I had to go to a nearby shop to buy breakfast at an extra cost to me even though it was already part of my booking cost. On both occasions complained afterwards to the pub manager and received no apology as he stated breakfast was at...

「Friendly hosts. Delicious freshly cooked breakfast with plenty of choice. Comfortable rooms. Ideal location within walking distance to local pubs/eateries.」

「Our room was clean,as was the bathroom. The matrass was very soft, would gave preferred firmer. The meals were satisfactory. I would visit again」
