"We stayed at the Fisher's Hana Bay Hale, bottom unit, early September 2025. We decided to stay here after taking the long "Road to Hana" drive. The location was great, it was clean, parking was available, and it had some necessary items for comfort, such as games, puzzles, dishes, pots and pans, and basic cooking spices. At the time of our visit, there was an impending threat of Hurricane Kiko. I was in contact with the host. She quickly responded and shared my same concerns. As it turned out, Kiko posed no threat, and we were able to complete our stay. Coming from a desert climate, we were not prepared for the humidity and lack of air conditioning for sleeping. There were 3 fans on the property, which made it comfortable. If you are looking for AC, I wouldn't book here. (This is listed in the amenities, so no surprise) But everything else was very nice. Overall, a 5-star rating for location, cleanliness, and friendliness of the host and amenities. (Side note, if you wanted to visit the Black Sand beaches, it now requires a reservation. We did not know this. They will enforce this and NOT let you just go take a look.) "

"A Wonderful Anniversary Experience at the Hana Maui Resort by Hyatt!!
The entire staff at breakfast was great! Since we had an extended stay, we meet and got to know many of the staff at the resort and restaurant. They were very sweet and made us feel like family. All the drivers were very helpful and had great tips on things to do in HANA. In the Art gallery we found extraordinary gifts that helped tremendously with making the visit to Hana and the resort memorable. We had an incredible Anniversary experience and the resort and staff made it possible."

"ENCHANTING and MAGICAL!!! We stayed at several different places on the Big Island and Maui, and this was far and away our favorite place. I haven’t slept so good or soundly in years. The heavenly scent of the tropical garden and ocean breeze will calm you during the day and lull you sleep at night. We spent a full day of our time in Hana just relaxing at the cottage, watching the ocean from the main room (combination bedroom/living room), and inhaling the perfume from the garden. Terry and Michael are amazing people. They are both extremely knowledgeable of the all the tropical flora - if you like plants even a little bit, you will be astounded by the variety of species they have cultivated on the property. Terry was also extremely communicative and helpful in preparing to come visit. Do yourself a favor and read everything she sends you carefully - Hana is remote with limited shopping and dining options, as well as limited cell service, so being prepared in advance will make a big impact on the comfort and serenity of your stay. They have beach chairs, boogie boards and snorkeling gear available, but we didn’t use any of it because we didn’t want to leave the cottage. We didn’t want to leave, period. We’re sending any of our friends and family coming to Maui here. I have never been in a place so beautiful and serene. Thank you, Michael and Terry, for a sublime experience."

"An idyllic setting where we could see the bay, hear the waves, with a short walk to the beach (black rocky sands). Neighbors a bit loud, but still one of the best spots in Hāna. Easy drive to the 7 sacred pools. Good food trucks nearby. "
