"Great hotel. Previously stayed at another one and had a horrible experience the very first stay. Their shuttle to the airport was out and wasn’t notified, which led to almost missing my flight home. Decided to give this property a try the following year and I continue to go back."

"Solo travel for 2 nights and saw Yotel as part of a good priced package. Very close to the station and some of the key attractions e.g. Balhao market / chapel of souls. Roughly 20 minutes walk to the historic centre. The hotel overall had a good size hotel room and presentation. The room I had wasn't amongst any noise and just heard the odd conversation. The traffic from outside was kept to a minimal only when the window is closed. The gym was a big win with good options at the breakfast buffet. Wifi was fast and the kiosk check in did cut down my waiting time significantly. The feedback I would give is simply a system refresh tech wise and a touch up on the interior. Due to the layout of the shower the flooring did show some wear as the water will spill over depending how you position yourself despite placing a towel on the floor. The AC system wasn't working either. As noted with previous reviews, the fridge isn't cold enough to keep things cool and can imagine this being a major issue in the hotter months. On the breakfast buffet side, I would have liked to see it replenished as I arrived at 9:20am and noticed service was starting to closing up when it was only hitting 10am with service running until 10:30am. On the whole I would return to Yotel as it ticked all my boxes for a solo travel."

"We had a great stay at Cenica the Curio Collection in Porto! The staff were super friendly and helpful and the location was great; walkable to the historic district and some great restaurants literally across the street. The last morning we had the breakfast buffet at the hotel and it was LOVELY! So many great options, wonderful staff who make great cappuccinos, and delicious food. One odd thing was that you are unable to control the thermostat in the room. So if you like to sleep with a very cold room, you have to call down to the front desk and they adjust the temperature of the room for you. We had never encountered that before. But when asked, they did do it and the temperature was fine for sleeping! The bed was comfortable, the gym is a bit small for a mainstream hotel, but the equipment was good. All in all, we had a wonderful stay!"

"Central location - within 10-15 mins you are by the river, and just a few minutes away from the famed Lello library and Sao Bento station . It is steps away from the Aliados metro - which is great if you are taking transit to/from the airport. The room was clean and quiet which I appreciate. I like that it is located away from the hustle and bustle of the main tourist area. Would happily stay here again."
