"A pretty good deal for the most expensive city in the world. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Amenities were good despite the fact that the toilets/shower was down the hall, perhaps something many Americans aren’t used to. But they were very clean and civilized. You might not want to stay here in the heat of the summer because there’s no air-conditioning, but fortunately the weather broke to be somewhat cooler while we were here. Property is cllose to the Weideken train station, a little bit further from the main HBF Definitely worth it."

"The breakfast was a great spread, and well-serviced too. There were multiple locations for breakfast, we tried two, both were nice. There was multiple large groups staying at the hotel at the same time, but the breakfast went smoothly. The only issue was waiting for the single lift to go up and down. The rooms were comfortable. They give a complimentary water bottle every day (if you havent used it up, they wont keep another one). The location was very convenient. The Italian restaurant in the hotel was very nice, we had a great meal there. We were a family of 6 (along with a toddler) and had requested for our 3 rooms to be near each other, which was accepted on the hotels.com messaging service. But we were given rooms on separate floors/ buildings. It wasn't a problem as such, but it would've been more convenient to not keep traveling between the buildings and floors. Alex, from the Front Desk team assured us that next time they will ensure that this won't happen. Alex was also very helpful in arranging for our luggage to be transported to another city via a taxi service."

"You have to accept that hotels in Zurich are expensive. So this is not going to be anything better or worse than an Ibis Budget room elsewhere. That said, having stayed in a few of the chain now, you can do far worse and in rooms which cost more. They have almost everything you need. Most importantly, a comfortable bed, a quiet room and blinds that actually block out light so if you don't want to wake up at dawn, you don't have to. They have air con that actually responds to your settings as well, not to be sniffed at. The only frustration is they also have stickers asking you not to use the room kettle for cooking food nor to partake of any cooking in your room. What kettle? I would have loved a kettle. Just for a cup of tea. As a Brit, not to have the means for a brew is a serious business. So that was a real shame, especially considering the stickers warning you of the dangers of misusing something which was completely absent. Breakfast is extra on most rates, if you want to avoid spending on it, there is a nearby COOP where you can buy coffee and pastries or fruit at a reasonable price. Travel to and from the airport is a breeze; Hardbrucke station is on the direct S Bahn line. The area is an old industrial area which has been redeveloped so not the most beautiful but that said, it's good for tram access and a short walk to the river. There are several restaurants in the area if eating out."

"A really friendly hotel which was perfect for families with young children. The reception staff were always helpful. I was always able to get warm milk for my toddler who drinks from a bottle. Swimming pool was also perfect for the children. Breakfast variety wasn’t great but none the less everyone was fed."
