Sunset Paradise on Lake Michigan

"Perfect setting and a beautiful home. The rocky beach is great for rock hunting and walks along the shore line. Picture perfect sunsets and beautiful blue/green water is our favorite along with nightly bonfires. Tom (owner) is very friendly and responded very quickly on any questions we had. More than enough room for 10 adults on a rainy day when we were all inside. This is our second year here and plan to come again next year!"

"Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This cottage is a lovely blend of vintage cabin with some modern updates and additions. We spent almost all of our time in the enclosed porch/sunroom looking out over the lake, although there were a number of other comfortable spaces available also. The cottage is sprinkled with vintage decorations, but has modern appliances, bathrooms and bedrooms. While it was perfect for a quiet, stress-free stay (our goal), it also was in easy driving distance of Charlevoix, Torch Lake, Elk Rapids, East Jordan and Boyne City. Plenty of Farm Stands, big and small, and Nature Preserves nearby; one rainy day we went to the Charlevoix Cinema, a movie theater with heart! This property is clean, well-stocked and cozy: perfect for our getaway. As usual, VPNM communication leading up to and after our stay was very helpful and clear. Overall a wonderful experience!"

"What a gorgeous house!!! Very private, and the grounds were stunning! Everything was well maintained, and the house full stocked. Jennifer was great at communicating and responding to any questions! We came for a family vacation with our 2 married sons, wives and children and 3 teenage boys, and there was plenty of space! Can’t say enough about the outdoor space!!"

"Overall, we had a great stay and would recommend this home for larger groups looking for a comfortable place to gather and enjoy the lake area.The home has a wonderful open-concept layout that made it easy for everyone to spend time together while still having plenty of room to spread out. We especially appreciated having bathrooms on every floor, which was very convenient for a larger group. The beds were comfortable, there were numerous sleeping options, and the large dining table provided enough space for everyone to enjoy meals together. Even without central air conditioning, opening the windows allowed for a fantastic Lake breeze that kept the home comfortable during our stay.There were just a few areas that could be improved. The kitchen could benefit from additional bowls and plates, particularly for groups utilizing the home's maximum occupancy. We were also surprised that no coffee was provided, and it would be helpful if the listing specified the type of coffee maker available so guests can plan accordingly.The biggest challenge for us was understanding the beach access. The property is listed as beachfront, but access details were somewhat confusing. We received information after check-in advising us not to use the beach directly in front of the home due to neighboring properties and were directed elsewhere. The boundaries of the usable beach area were not clearly marked, which created some uncertainty throughout our stay.For future guests, it would be help"

"Beautiful location convenient to area points of interest. Peace and quiet combined with a very comfortable bed made for some quality sleep. The owner was very responsive and the complimentary pastries were appreciated. The property was accurately described and affordable. It has minimalist decor and fewer amenities than many other places we rented, but that really wasn’t an issue for us since we were mostly there to sleep."
