「The Sunset Shack was fantastic for our family trip to Nosara. The beach is super close, and the town is very cute. We were right in the middle of it all. Monkeys in the mango trees on the property in the morning, and iguanas roaming all day. The food, the staff, and the hotel itself were all 5 stars! We would love to return to Nosara, and would not stay anywhere else. Thank you Sunset Shack!」

「Fantastic place, amazingly well managed, and wonderful staff. Intimate, all staff were amazing. We felt so well taken care of. Every detail was thought through. The place is a 2 min walk to the ocean through a beautiful forest, straight from the property- we were going in and out in swim suits. The beach is fantastic, for surfers especially. Highly recommend!」

「Building was clean and comfortable with a/c in each bedroom. Pool was great. Staff were friendly. Good location. Some minor maintenance things like loose cabinet handles but nothing of consequence. Cookware in the kitchen was mostly functional but needs replacing. FYI - The family suites are not beach front. It’s a 5 minute walk to the other Residencias property that is on the beach. The pictures and listing description are not as explicit as about that as they should be.」

「Centrally located but quiet. Great staff. Beautiful pool and shared kitchen and cabana area. For the price, it’s very good/what you would expect. The rooms are simple and parts of the facility are old, but that is why it is priced more affordably than other hotels. I would definitely stay there again if I stay in the same financial bracket. If I had more money, I would ideally like to have a more comfortable mattress and newer windows that close fully and no smell of mold. But all in...

「Tout était impeccable ; la chambre, la piscine,… Impossible de se sentir plus dans la jungle qu’à cet endroit! C’était magique de prendre son café dans le hamac ou se laver dans la douche extérieure. Le déjeuner était succulent et différent des « classiques » du coin. La plage de Samara était à 5 minutes de voiture: toujours facile de se stationner. Honnêtement, la tranquillité valait la distance. Excellent service, très accommodants. J’ai tout adoré!!! Merci」

「We had a great time staying here, the pool was perfect in the afternoon and everything is such a short walk away. They also had some beach chairs and umbrellas for us to take down to the beach. Samara is a great town and this hotel was the perfect place to stay.」

「This is an excellent experience. All the staff was incredibly helpful, the room was impeccable, the restaurant was delicious, and the amenities were exactly what we needed. We enjoyed the small details—sweet treats in the afternoon, watermelon water, post surf showers. Also shout out to Carlos, our surf instructor, for getting us up on boards immediately, his storytelling, and his unfettered joy.」
