Plenty big for a large family or two smaller families ideally to share the space and cost. The best parts, location, open space, small pool, and midday shade around the pool. The pool was great for swimming and we appreciated the shallow end for time with 10 month old! The driveway is a challenge (steep and close to busy road) but walkable to town. "The property is a short walk from the stunning beach, some of our favorite restaurants. This is a very new and exceptionally well-designed hotel. The rooms are fantastic, everything is brand new and visually pleasing. The pool area and cabanas are wonderful too. Staff is very friendly and supportive. They have a great consierge who booked a lot of activities for us - zip lining, ATV tour, surfing. Room maintenance and cleaning is superb. We were supposed to stay for a week and ended up staying for two."

"We stayed only one night at Lagarta Lodge to kick off our vacation in Nosara and I didn’t want to leave! The property is absolutely stunning with a very special view from high up looking out to the ocean, that other hotels in the area don’t have available to them. We did a biological reserve tour and a couples massage and they both were highlights of our entire trip. The food was also our top favorite meals. The staff is so attentive and kind, and easy to get in contact with instantly via WhatsApp. We really did feel like VIP. Would 1000% stay again and recommend anyone else to at least spend a couple of nights at Lagarta Lodge while in Nosara. "

"Gorgeous, isolated place with friendly staff and easy access to beautiful beaches. Prepare yourself for the drive in, which is on a dirt road with lots of holes. If you rent a car, get the insurance. Lots of restaurants nearby you can drive to or catch one of their mini-taxis. The free breakfast is delicious, and the views are awesome. The hotel design and architecture are definitely very different and fun. "

"The concierge was so helpful, recommending restaurants and activities. He notified us of a scheduled area wide power outage and took care of making reservations for an ATV tour during the outage. The restaurant was fantastic, with large plates of fresh food and friendly service. Housekeeping kept the room clean and comfortable. "
