"Absolutely loved our stay here! Staff are beyond kind. Property is beautiful and natural. Rooms are large and contain everything you need. Samara is beautiful and offers a wide range of activities to do off the resort. Such as side by side rides, horseback riding, day excursions, scuba diving, and lots more! We planned a lot of them at the excursion desk upfront with Luis, he was wonderful. At the front desk of the hotel Diego, Donovan and Josue always were there to help with any and everything. Food was always great, Kenneth,Burner,Donny and Alonso were always there to help at the chill and grill and other restaurants. The spa is a must visit, I had a deep tissue massage from Celenie and it was much needed after scuba diving (use Samara dive school and meet 5 minutes down the beach!) the gift shop on site is so convenient, even offering shipping for coffee and chocolate, this was Josie, Eli, Maikol, and Marco to thank for that and also recommending all the best local snacks.10/10 resort "

"Staff were excellent. Very helpful and professional. Pool was pristine, perfectly kept. As usual, kitchenette could use better paring knives. Enjoyed wildlife: howler monkeys, racoons, coati, geckos, iguanas, birds, cat, two big spiders in web by check in! Off the beaten track so very private and quiet; personal cabins in midst of 'jungle'. Would go back and stay longer!"

"What a spectacular location, extremely private and beautiful. The accomodations are absolutely spotless and welcoming staff. But be sure you have four wheel drive or arrange for transportation. "

"We could not have asked for better accommodations or hosts! The house is incredible! Everything you could want and/or need. And there is a pickleball court on the property! The view is breathtaking!! We saw monkeys everyday! We woke to the Howler Monkeys the first morning after our arrival and it was a terrifying sound, until I found out what it was.Robert and Trudy were the best! We now have great friends in Costa Rica! They alerted us when the monkeys came through daily and showed us the spectacular views from the roof of their incredible home at sunset. They are definitely living a beautiful life and so sweet to share it with others.Nearby Garza is great. As is Garza Beach. Not touristy. More local feeling. A really beautiful beach with access to boats. If you want more tourist/upscale beaches, head south to Samara. I'm definitely looking forward to going back and meeting their new puppy!!!"

"Blue Iguana in Costa Rica was such a nice surprise. The location’s perfect—close to the action, but still relaxed. Staff were really warm and helpful, always smiling and welcoming. Food was great—fresh and delicious. Everything felt clean and comfortable. Loved the easy, laid-back feel. I’d definitely recommend and I look forward to returning! "

"We loved the pool and outdoor area! The landscape is truly beautiful and the pool temperature perfect. The patio and barbecue for Casa Nautical really added to it. Inside we had some issues since the unit was not equipped with dish clothes, tea towels and there seemed to be a mix up with the cleaners that we were even there. They wash the sheets once a week but missed us and then brought the wrong size. The manager is prompt to offer solutions but it took a couple of weeks to get everything sorted. We were staying a month and the kitchen equipment was very basic but doable. The fridge is a mini with an open slot at the top for a freezer so you couldn’t store anything and it held one ice cube tray but took 2 days to freeze. I’m not sure if I would recommend a long term stay there if you’re hoping to cook in. There is a store very close that has most of what you’ll need but not a good meat selection. You can walk to town in 30 minutes and to the beach in 20. That was nice but part of the road is unpaved, rough and dusty and with the heat making it hard to carry groceries. We didn’t rent a car since we were told it was walkable. For a month though it was hard. We ended up renting a golf cart for the last 10 days and that was great but expensive. There’s a farm next door but you can’t really see it because of the beautiful hedges. You can sure hear it though especially the rooster which didn’t wait until morning to crow, and dogs that barked often at night. "

"We enjoyed the treehouse. I wish we had gotten precise directions to the treehouse before arrival. It would’ve been super easy to find if we had just had some directions. We had three nights with wind and the treehouse was definitely very creaky, the noise kept us up for most of the 3 nights.. some tree yeah branches were slamming against the house that kept us up . We loved the little kitchen downstairs that was very welll equipped and a good place to wake up in the morning."
