Nice spa hotel near Fukuoka
We stayed here for two nights to take a weekend city break. Hotel is about 35 minutes drive from Tenjin or Hakata. Free parking is provided so it’s quite a deal as parking is expensive in the city. Our room at 4/F is reasonably clean and comfortable. It is bigger than a standard Japanese hotel room. Bathroom is small but not too much a concern because you’ve got hot spring. One thing which is not perfect is that they only provide one set of towels every day. If we have hot spring at night and then in the next morning, we will not have new towels to use. On the other hand, they have travel adapters for borrowing, which saved us.
As for the hot springs, it’s good. They’ve got steam, sauna, cold water bath as well as a variety of spa pools, both indoors and outdoors. I particularly liked the Chinese medicine spa and the pearl spa, which have health benefits. One thing which we don’t like is that they close at midnight (12AM), which is too early. We missed it in the first night. However, they open in the morning from 5:30AM - 9AM, and then from 10AM, so that you can also get a quick spa before checking out at 11AM. Be careful not to be late for checkout though as punctuality is important in Japanese culture.
The hotel has got some nice restaurants, Japanese or Western. We’ve tried the Western style dinner buffet. It’s quite cheap and dish selection is good.
All in all, we have enjoyed our stay and will consider staying here again.
