Pet-friendly & Lakefront in Beachwalk Resort!

"Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Overall, we had a fantastic time as usual. Our family has rented homes in Beachwalk for many years and would like to continue that tradition. We loved being able to rent a pet-friendly home on Lake Kai at a time that fit our schedule. We understand that renting at the end of July/early August will result in some wear and tear on the house, but this one seemed to be particularly damaged/dirty. The porch door did not close all of the way unless forcefully pulled, and our dog escaped. The door near the grill and public path did not lock at all. The room in the front with the full bath/shower is dangerous because someone could easily fall getting in or out. Some wood panels on the deck were loose. The screened-in porch floor was in very bad shape. The microwave, dishwasher, and air conditioner did not work very well. I would like to say, however, that none of these issues impacted the enjoyment of our vacation."

"Very nice home for myself and 2 children. Plenty of space and very clean. Host was quick to respond to questions. Very walkable community. Nice pool and activity area. Houses are a little crammed together which was unexpected never having been here. Overall wonderful stay!"

"Great property in this resort community, comes with many amenities. Convenient to have a guest house where people who needed more privacy can stay. The house is modern, well appointed and lots of space. Golf cart, beach toys Beach chairs, and bikes available from the owners to make the stay even more fun and requires less packing. Minor issues that arose were quickly addressed by the owner."

"Great house- as advertised. It accommodated our large party of four families and amenities were great. Unfortunately there was a persistent odor inside the home which could only be described as "sewer smell." There was also garbage piled on the driveway all week, but we know that's not where the odor came from. Overall, I still rated as four stars with some hope that the owners care more to resolve the issue for future guests than they did for our complaints."
Beachwalk Resort Charming Main & Guest House

"It was so nice having two houses for our group. They were both in good shape and pretty clean. The floors could have been cleaner. They seemed clean but made our socks very dirty. The kitchen was well equipped with what we needed. The ice dispenser on the fridge doesn’t work- minor detail, but good to know. The main bathroom didn’t have a toilet paper holder which was surprising because it’s such an easy fix. Again, not a big deal. The location is very good- short walk or golf cart ride to the pool and beach. It was close to over flow parking as well. There are a few green, park-like spaces in the community that the house is very close to. I love that Lake Michigan is a short golf cart ride away. You could easily walk too, unless you have a lot of stuff. Check-in was easy and the staff was super friendly and helpful. At the end of the stay the closing procedures are super easy. We had 2 minor hiccups at the beginning of the stay. Upon arrival we didn’t realize the outside garbage cans were completely full from the previous guests so we didn’t put them out that first night (trash night) - and had to spend time trying to figure out how to get them emptied- doesn’t seem like a big deal but it was a hassle we had to deal with while trying to enjoy our first day. Also- the golf cart wouldn’t hold a charge upon our arrival. After calling and trying to get it fixed we were told about a switch that needed to be flipped and turns out a breaker tripped. We would rent again!"

"The house was a great homebase for our group of 10 (6 adults and 4 children). We let the children have their own floor, sleeping and playing games on the lower level, with the adults right upstairs. The younger generation enjoyed this little bit of independence. The house was also large enough to easily accommodate visits from other family members staying in a nearby home in the resort. We all enjoyed having Lake Kai, shuffleboard, etc., basically right at our back door and being easy walking distance to the playground, swimming pool, clubhouse, with Lake Michigan just a bit further away. This was a definitely a good choice for our extended-family get-together!"

"The property was really excellent. Comfortable and spacious. We had 5 adults and 4 young children. It is a great location and great community. It was fun to listen to the live music outside on Saturday night. The beach was great. The kids enjoyed the pool and the ice cream at the clubhouse. Very fun and worth repeating!"
