「We loved staying in this hotel with its unique history and beautiful decor. It is a special place in a wonderful location and we had fabulous views from our balcony. The walk to Morcote took under 30 minutes with lovely views but you need to wear trainers as the path is uneven. We also enjoyed walking to the castle through the vineyards and exploring lake Lugano by bus and boat. We tended to get Uber taxi’s back up to to hotel as it was a steep climb ( cost 18CHF) 」

「This hotel is in an excellent location! Shops, food, the lake, the funicular - all just steps away; that's why I chose it. And don't miss out on any of it; there was a DJ dance party at the top of the funiculare, and I happened across a lindy hop at a nearby piazza walking back from the funiculare. Such vibrancy!
And our room was so comfortable. I could even hear Tosca being performed live from our veranda one evening!
Plus, what everyone says about breakfast is true - delicious! Fresh...
「Loved the rustic charm this hotel has to offer, the staff was communicative from the time I booked to check in and afterwards too. Room was clean and spacious for 3 people. Location is perfect and walking distance to all the shops and restaurants.
