"We stayed here four nights before catching a sailing ship. While not luxurious, this hotel was perfect for our needs. The decor was dated but everything in the room was clean. Sheets clean. The mattress was a little firmer than I prefer but fine for short term. No hot water in the kitchen sink or bathroom sink but the hot water and water pressure in shower were wonderful. Daily maid service. Kitchenette had cups, plates, utensils. Bring your own coffee. We brought cone fillets but there were some in room. Fridge kept things cold. No I’ve machine on floor but when asked the clerk got me a small ice bucket full. The pool was clean and refreshing. Desk clerks responded quickly to any requests. It is in a neighborhood. The Marigot market is 0.8 miles away to walk. It took a couple of tries to find best, quickest route. From front door - turn right for a cute bakery open till 6p. From front door go left to a grocery store with plenty of snacks, drinks. Go left to walk to town and follow road to main thoroughfare, go left, then right at Rue de Republic. Then straight to waterfront, market and restaurants. We pulled our suitcases to waterfront to catch boat. It was bumpy but fine. You could take a taxi. Probably 10 euro. "

"THE BEACH VIEW WAS UNOBSTRUCTED AND USED THE POOL MOST DAYS . Studio was a short walk to wine store and nice cheese shop as well as lots of nice restaurants "

"Where do we even begin. The home was gorgeous and very well appointed with a fantastic view overlooking the ocean. Lots of nice retractable awnings for shade as well. Julia was a great host. Very responsive and accommodating to all of our needs. The turtles she has in the yard were a big highlight for us. Watching them eat and roam everyday was so fun to watch. She has many of them big and small. The beach is about ten minutes walk from the house to get to friars bay and then another 8 minutes over the mountain to happy bay( worth the walk). Happy bay is the nicest beach we saw by far all over the island. Very serene and quiet and untouched almost by tourism which was refreshing to see. The pool at the villa was great and so refreshing to hop into after long days at the beach. I would 1000% percent stay here again and highly recommend to my friends. Great vacation all around and we are so happy we chose to stay on friars beach vs other more popular beaches. Less hustle and bustle. Thank you Julia for the fantastic stay. "Breakfast needs upgrating, bread stale, maybe having a bit more variety wvery morning would be great. Staff Amazing. Laura, Fritz, Bianca, the chefs, the Jazz guy, Amazing hosts and hospitality. Location is pretty good but always great to Hire a car. You can ask this hotel for hire its great."

"The hosts are so welcoming. He followed on flight. Greeted us when we arrived on the property. The amenities are better than the photos show. We snorkeled around our bay and saw so many fish. The pool is awesome. The outdoor space at the property is amazing!!"
