The staff was very friendly. The place is very pretty, the pillows and bedding can be improved, not enough blankets and pillows. We didn't have clean towels for the second day, until we requested them.

Great Staff, good breakfast included. Rooms clean and comfortable. This is Europe so rooms are smaller but good. No elevator so stairs all the way up to the rooms. We enjoyed our stay.

Great family run hotel - 10 minute walk to Firenze SMN station and no more than 15 minutes to landmarks. Nice quiet terrace to relax (rooms are quite tight). Only downside when I visited was the road was being repaved - but it will be perfect for the next visitors (no night noise just tricky to wheel bags)

Excellent staff, convenient and clean

The staff are very friendly and accommodating. The breakfast was limited but convenient and fresh. The location is walkable to most top attractions in the city, especially Accademia. Not the most modern building, but clean and safe.

Great little hotel right in downtown Florence! Close to restaurants, shops, and only ten minute walk from the train station. We were able to communicate easily with management and they provided simple but delicious continental breakfast each morning. The room was a tad small - our bed was up against the wall so it was a little cramped for two of us and our luggage. But overall it was just fine.

Lovely hotel near centre Cathedral

Excellent location, right near centre of Florence by the Cathedral. Great hotel, really friendly, helpful staff. Room cleaned daily with lots of fresh towels. Came for my sister’s 40th birthday and staff had left happy birthday note with a bottle of fizz. We were delighted with stay

Our visit to Florence

On arrival from Tram2 a short walk down to the small street to the hotel. Up some stairs in this old building, i would say traditional Italian building. We were greeted by our lovely receptionist who made us most welcome. Our bags taken to our room on the first floor. Dont get me wrong when i say this is basic, i mean it does not have fluffy extras, it does however have clean functional rooms, cleaned everyday, there is a terrace that you can use on the second floor. We were very comfortable and thoroughly enjoyed our stay, continental breakfast was very good and the most important thing so close to all the main sights and fabulous restaurants just a few minutes walk.

Was not informed about how to get into the hotel as the door is always locked. There was a panel of numbers and we didn’t have a code Had never experienced that in hotels. But eventually we were able to get in and enjoyed our one night stay in this very cute hotel in a fabulous location.

To get to the reception desk you have to go up four sets of stairs, then one more to our room. This is not convenient when you have luggage, and you are 60 yr/old like me. No elevator. Just right there because of that I would not stay there again. Room and bathroom were clean, breakfast was average and the lady who tends the dining area was very professional, caring, attentive.

The staff were super nice. However the hotel Is on the second floor and we were booked on the third (American wise) it was fine just beware. Stairs after being out all day is not fun. Not at all their fault but there was construction right outside. The walkway to get to the hotel is about three feet wide with people goin in both directions. Construction is loud and starts at about eight am. The hotel is within walking distance of all the things you’ll want to see. Room was very clean and they did go in and make our beds after our first night.

Highly recommend the stay. From reception to owner are welcoming, helpful, with a great understanding of customer service, they definitely go above and beyond. They respond immediately to your request. They provide tourist recommendations and tips (security, entertainment, foods, and restaurants. I left my small purse with all our passwords, credit cards, and cash and they look for it, founded, let me know and even went after working hours to hand it to me in the train station so my husband and I could make it on time to our flight without even thinking twice. They save our vacation. Thank you so much to you all!

Very helpful hotel staff

Hotels.com neglected to transmit our booking to the hotel. This never happened to us in the past. After initial confusion from the hotel manager when we arrived, he was able to put us in a sister hotel, Hotel Camilla, with a better location. Price was similar. We were grateful for not having to search for a hotel at the last minute. The hotel manager even dealt with Hotels.com on our behalf to get us refunded. This review is on Hotel Camilla. We love the warm breakfast with different kinds of pastry and fruits. The staff were super helpful and friendly. The location cannot be more central to major attractions. We were very happy with our 3-night stay.
