"Beautiful hotel in a great location. The mushroom risotto and lemon tart were both excellent. Weather can be unpredictable so plan accordingly. Limited activity options during poor weather conditions. Our glacier trip was canceled due to weather and there was literally nothing else to do besides watch TV in our room. 3 small hot tubs were full, the few small sitting areas were also occupied with other travelers trying to occupy young children, it would have been nice if extra tables could have been set up with games to allow others options to escape their rooms."

"While easily-accessible from the ring road, it's also easily-missed; I had to turn around. Reception is in the first building on the right, but there are other hotels between that building & these rooms, which could be confusing. And like all 12 that I stayed in, the roads really need maintenance. But the building we were in appeared to be fairly new with large clean rooms and a slightly-larger shower than most others, but still without a good place for our soap & shampoo. We didn't eat here (the Pakkhus lobster dinner with 3 tails was worth the drive, the wait, and the 3 tolls for driving the new bridges) or tour the "museum" in the reception building, but the view was good."

"Charming guesthouse in an older farmhouse - great location, clean, comfortable. We had a nice stay, did not opt in for the breakfast at an additional cost. Very quiet despite most rooms being full. As mentioned in other reviews, there are ALOT of house rules. This didn't bother us but may deter guests who prefer a more relaxed stay."
