"The host was very easy to communicate with. She greeted us when we arrived. She was great. The house is very beautiful inside and out, the view was amazing. It is very clean inside. The only issue is the way to the house is very difficult to get to. We drove up on a hill that had a lot of bumpy roads and a lot of garbage. Keep in mind if you stay here that once you go out, try to do all of your outings because it’s hard to go back and forth to the house."

Cons: Outdated rooms: Accommodations need remodeling, showing cleanliness issues like stray hairs and cockroaches. Subpar dining: The buffet is repetitive and lukewarm, while à la carte restaurants have long waits and low quality. Restrictive drinks: Premium spirits and light beers cost extra at the bars, and pool cocktails are poorly made. Inconsistent service: Good service and friendliness require heavy daily tipping. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and offered stunning views. The amenities were excellent, and there was plenty to do whether you wanted to relax or stay active. The food was delicious, and the overall atmosphere made for a truly memorable getaway. I would definitely recommend this resort to anyone looking for a relaxing and enjoyable vacation, and I look forward to returning in the future."

"We enjoyed our stay. And do recommend this resort. However, we were not happy that the pool closes at 7. At times, we were quite bored. The entertainment staff was great. Lady T and Chocolate have so much energy!!! But there were times when nothing was happening. You can’t walk to anything. Taxi to Ocho Rios was $120 No restaurants close except those inside the resort. Reservations were MANDATORY for dinner but when we went to eat, more than half the tables were empty. So, why put me on a schedule on my vacation? Our room was street view. VERY NOISY all hours of the night I’m glad we came and we had fun but probably won’t be back to Jamaica."

"Pro and cons. My plan was to sit at the resort and not do anything else. Pros Round trip airport shuttle Food included/drinks Clear beach next door Boat/kayak Lifeguard on deck Cons Didn’t feel welcomed when dining there. The servers weren’t very friendly. There are more pros than cons, but I know customer service can either make or break your trip. This was definitely a break moment. Would I stay here again, no."

"We traveled as a family of 3 with a toddler age 2. Overall, we enjoyed the all inclusive amenities offered at this facility. I felt there is something to keep my toddler occupied everyday -big shoutout to the kiddie water park. The food is fantastic at the buffet and the Sport Bar (24/7) and the drinks at all the bar are equally amazing. Since the resort is newer, the rooms are new and up to date with decors/furnitures. There are few things that could have made the experience 5/5. First. As an interracial couple, beware you will get all kind of looks especially disgust from staff as well as fellow vacationer. Typically, I don't let these stuff get to me but when it's majority of the people you encountered give you the same look, things become uncomfortable. However, there are equally the same amount of people who are beyond great and we appreciate their kindness and friendliness. If you plan to book a la carte date night, not all the restaurant are equal and we were very disappointed at Kyoto. However, the steak house made up for it. We enjoyed the pools that allowed children and like that there are multiple pools dedicated for adults. Riu is very family oriented so if you want peace, I would suggest adult only. Our Oceanview room was beautiful. Big shout out to our housekeeper, Aliyah, for making the room extra special each day! Shoutout to Annalee and Kodi in the buffet. We're not a big all inclusive, but this visit might change our minds."
