A lovely retreat high in the hills above Estes Park, CO with views of the Rocky Mountains shimmering in close proximity. Herds of wild elk made their way across the stretches of their vast property each evening with diners in the Twin Owls (adjoining) Steak House gasped with delight!

Wonderful Lodge

We absolutely loved our stay at Taharaa. Our room was spacious, clean and comfortable. The breakfasts were cooked to order, super delicious and filling. We loved the fact that Twin Owls Steakhouse is part of the lodge so evening dining is super convenient and Twin Owls is probably the best restaurant in Estes Park. We will return and highly recommend.

Our stay at the Taharaa Mountain Lodge was fantastic. The rooms and common areas were super clean and well maintained. The staff was very nice and super helpful with information. Beautiful views from almost everywhere in the hotel. Parking and check in was easy and convenient. We would definitely stay here again!

Nice, quiet retreat. Located just out of town, but easy access to Park and downtown. Included breakfast was great, as were staff. On site restaurant (dinner only) was excellent but expensive. Good cell and internet service. Only suggestions, add desk and chair and less complicated TV services.

beautiful, well maintained lodge, lovely staff, delicious homemade breakfast, restaurant below named Twin Owls was absolutely delicious, very accommodating and Collin the bartender was very informative on the hiking in the RMNP. Try the Elk skewers and Bison anything, it's great. Take a trip 15 minutes away to Lily Lake for a stunning walk and maybe see the moose. Elks strolling around was a treat. Completely recommend this Lodge.

The view was absolutely incredible from our room. They even brought us coffee in the morning and left it at our door so we could sit and drink coffee on the balcony. They also custom made us breakfast in the morning. The experience was incredible.

no service after 5pm. literally no staff on the premises after 5pm. which would be fine if they didn't charge almost $400 a night. don't forget to put in your breakfast order the night before, they scolded us for asking for breakfast without pre-filling the order form. No fridges in the rooms. otherwise, everything was beautiful and clean with an always running hot tub.

Worth it

The room was very clean and overall the condition was comfortable. The scenery was amazing off the patio except there is a lot of vehicle traffic below the hotel on the highway so the scenery gets lost in the traffic noise. Updates to the bathroom were needed and supplying more up to date items (microwave/fridge) in the room would be beneficial. The restaurant was excellent. It’s worth trying this out, the location to RMNP was great just be prepared to spend some $.
