Cozy Getaway (#103) | Resort Access, Full Kitchen, Walk to Lift, Ground Level

Cozy Getaway at Purgatory Resort (Purgatory Townhome #103) is a studio condo located about the same distance as a two block walk to the ski lift and the main Plaza where you will find shops, restaurants ski rentals and more. This ground-level studio condo includes a full kitchen, cozy living room large sofa, full bath, private off-ground balcony with gas grill and resort access.  Guests can use the ski locker and there is coin laundry on the premises.

BED CONFIGUATION:
* Queen with TV - studio main level
* Twin over twin bunks in hallway - studio main level

RESORT CLUB ACCESS: For an optional 4% resort fee, you will have access to the Durango Mountain Club which includes an outdoor heated pool with slide, outdoor hot tub and workout facility. The 4% resort fee included in the quote is the required resort fee that must be charged and does not allow access to the Durango Mountain Club. When booking, just advise if you would like the extra 4% resort fee added.

PURGATORY SKI MOUNTAIN LOCATION: This condo is located at Purgatory Ski Resort in the San Juan Mountains. Purgatory is 25 minutes north of downtown Durango and is known as a family-friendly ski resort. It has 105 trails, including 5 terrain parks, over 1,500 skiable acres and 12 lift. The resort boasts an average annual snowfall of 260 inches. Purgatory Resort offers a variety of activities and amenities that cater to families, including ski lessons, childcare and a variety of restaurants. It is a more affordable option that some of the other ski resorts in Colorado, has a good mix of terrain for all ability levels, and stunning views. If you're looking for a resort that offers something for everyone, staying at this condo at Purgatory is a great option!

SUMMER AT PURGATORY: Purgatory boasts a bike park accessible by chair lift, an alpine slide, mountain coaster, and treasure panning. There are also hiking trails, jeep tours, and watercraft rentals on Twilight Lake. Purgatory hosts various events throughout the summer, such as live music concerts, festivals and bike races.

NO PETS: Due to HOA rules, the condo (and all condos in the building) is not pet friendly. Please do not bring your pets/emotional support animals.

COOLING: Please note that, like most properties in the area, this home does not have AC, as it is uncommon for homes at this elevation. Temperatures inside the property are easily managed by using fans and opening the windows at night when temperatures drop into the 40s.

NOTE: This building has thin walls and the residents do strictly enforce the 10pm quite time - please be respectful of your neighbors when staying at Purgatory Townhomes.

Book at least a week and a 10% discount is automatically applied (Excludes Christmas/New Years). Stay with us and we offer DISCOUNTS on both summer (white water rafting, horseback riding etc.) and winter (ski/snowboard rentals, sleigh rides, snowmobile tours etc.) activities.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our overall stay was good. The Townhomes are with in walking distance to the Resort. The home was clean and in good working order. The was some question about needing a permit for parking, but the management was helpful in solving that.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The room was nice and clean, but much smaller than we thought. The bed in the picture is a Murphy bed, which, when pulled out, leaves very little room. Also, the bunk beds are more narrow than normal and there isn't much space to store your bags. Be aware there is no air conditioning in this unit. We were comfortable at night with the sliding door open, but it is best to close the curtains during the day so the room doesn't heat up too much. Overall, it was a nice condo, just more cramped than we expected for our party of 3.

Clean, has everything you need, and walking distance to skiing! Management was quick to reply to any questions, and got some outlets that weren’t working fixed pretty quickly. We had a great stay!

Nice studio condo

We enjoyed our stay at this condo. It is small, but had everything we needed for our stay. It is in walking distance to the main ski lifts. Does have a small locker outside of the condo that can hold a few sets of ski's and boots. The bunk beds are pretty narrow, kids would be just fine on them, but adults will be cramped.

Cute little condo....short walk to slops.

Condo was small but cute! The bunk beds are for small children only but are a good use of the space. The walk to the slops is short which is what we were looking for.

Week prior to Labor Day

I had no idea the Four Corner Rally was in Durango, so it was even better staying at Purgatory (not that I'm against crowds, just didn't line up with purpose of being in the country). For couples or individuals looking to save a little but still have all you need. I would highly recommend this property. The unit is a studio, but does have two small bunk beds. I really enjoyed having a kitchen with everything needed to cook. Check in and check out was seamless with notifying the host as well for a question. I'll be back to Durango, what a fantastic area to hike and home base for other area travels.

Getaway!

It was a perfect spot for a perfect trip! Easily able to walk to the lifts and easy check in and out. Murphy bed was super comfortable and having the locker right outside the door was very helpful! We would definitely stay here again in the future!

Ski Weekend

My family enjoyed staying in this unit for an extended ski weekend. We are 2 adults and 2 adult children and although this is a studio we managed to have ample space to fit our needs. We love the location, the well appointed kitchen and access to the pool and hot tub. The property manager was always very responsive and friendly. We would definitely stay here again.

Perfect for a place to rest your head!

Rented this studio for family friends that just needed a place to sleep. Most of their time was spend with the other family on a townhouse right on the mountain! Great place, great price!

Great Little Place!

Excellent location, with fairly easy walk to start skiing. Everything was clean and easy to access. Customer service was responsive and very friendly. Love being right there in Purgatory, and even with being in first floor we had beautiful views out the porch. It was a little tight for our teenagers on sleeping, but I would definitely book this place again. Value was solid.

Great Location

Great for a 3 day snowboarding getaway. Location to lift was a short few minute walk. Are at Purgy one night and Pizza another night. Easy walk to both. Owners were quick to response when needing assistance

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Hot Tub/Fitness--What a joke. There was no hot tub near by. I called the rental company, they said their is no hot tub or fitness. The rental company called me back and explained I could go to the main lodge and pay for it. The maid lodge is about 10 minute walk, then I was unsure who to pay who to contact and where to change.

The description is HotTub/Fitness Access what a bunch of crap there is no HotTub or Fitness I called the number listed they said there in no Hot Tub. The management company called me after a bit and said oh for an extra fee you can go to the lodge which is about a 10 minute walk. I was not sure how to dress/change.... so we never had the opportunity. This is just a bad description and I was terribly disapointed.
