Was able to upgrade to the Horizon Club room with a Burj Khalifa view. Room was spacious, clean, and paid attention to detail. Horizon club amenities were top notch. Staff were amazing and helpful. We switched to a Marina hotel for the remainder of our stay and instantly regretted it. Shangri-la was easily far better!

First time staying in Shangri La, Dubai. Good hotel although two main issues from our stay. 1. Stayed on 41st floor as part of the Horizon Club which is great, however our room was very loud from the nightclub situated on the floor above. Could literally hear the exact song and DJ on microphones until about 2am so wasn’t good at all. 2. Poor service at the hotel pool bar. Ordered drinks and food at the swim up pool bar, 90 Minutes later and about 4 requests, food arrived but was the wrong order. We eventually laughed about it as it couldn’t get any worse, very poor for a 5 star hotel. There also seemed to be Prositiutes in the lobby area and hotel bar which isn’t good for a 5 star hotel. Overall, first time staying there, I would like to stay at Shangri La again but slightly nervous based on the above. Great views of the Burj Khalifa though.
