「Property is well located and beds are comfy. It was very cold in the property when we arrived as the thermostat had been turned to 10 degrees and there were no matches to light the fire. The whole property felt like it needed a bit of a refresh.....walls marked, some mirrors cracked, doors & handles chipped, kitchen equipment mismatched and well used, some kitchen equipment broken, dining room chair broken and not usable. The shower has a slanted roof so not ideal as you have to duck to prevent...

「We had a lovely break at River View Cottage.Even before we had arrived the hosts had reached out to us to welcome us to the property and ask if we had any requests they could help with.Entry to the property was a dream with fantastic clear instructions, the property was wonderfully clean, bright and warm ( very cold outside the weekend we visited). 「We stayed for a week in February, and it was fabulous. The weather was a bit damp on and off, but the Grooms Bothy was always warm and welcoming. (I want underfloor heating!). It’s well equipped, close to Kelso for everything you need, and in a quiet and pretty location. The owners live next door, and a with their 2 little dogs are friendly and on hand if you need something. The welcome pack of milk, snacks and wine was a lovely touch. The Borders are lovely, we really enjoyed travelling...
