Due to the ongoing effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, traveling today comes with more challenges. Take note of these worthwhile tips before hopping on your plane to Division No. 3:

• Find out if any travel restrictions apply to your origin and destination before locking in your flight. Also check if there are any requirements you'll have to follow on arrival, such as taking a COVID-19 test.
• Requirements state that you must wear a face mask at the airport, including at security checkpoints. Be ready to lower your mask for identification purposes when asked by a TSA employee.
• Rather than handing a TSA employee your boarding pass, position it straight on the reader yourself. Once that's done, hold it up for inspection.
• TSA now permits passengers to take one container of hand sanitizer, up to 12 oz (350 ml) in size, in carry-on luggage. This will have to be removed from your bag for X-ray scanning.
• To reduce handling during screening, place personal items such as your phone, keys and wallet into your carry-on rather than the bins.
• Separate any food you're carrying for screening. Putting it in a clear plastic bag and into a bin reduces the need for a TSA agent to touch and inspect your belongings.

• Air Canada - this airline is known for conducting passenger temperature checks and cleaning with disinfectant.
• American Airlines - this airline is known for providing passenger masks and cleaning with disinfectant.
