「Loved it! The hotel very kindly accommodated our request for a room with a shower instead of a bath. Lovely courtyard room, which was very quiet despite the outdoor seating area for the bistro being very close. Good bar with very friendly staff. The area was ideal for exploring Henley. Just around the corner from the river and the rowing course, and around another corner to the main shopping/eating/drinking areas. Would definitely stay again. Be aware though that the parking is underneath...

「The building is very old. With this comes issues with either a very steep staircase up to the rooms or use of an emergency exit at the rear (which is made of metal steps with a precarious old mat dangerously situated at the top). The room was lovely but it was very hot as situated above the kitchen. The weather was forecasted to be 28/29 degrees and I had to ask for a fan. It was a struggle to sleep in such temperatures as the fan was noisy so had to be switched off. In the morning I was...

「Certainly not as nice as the photos make out. We would not stay again and do not recommend it. Poor nights sleep for many reasons. Not a good shower. Smelly bathroom, noisy fridge, very light in room at night due to fire exit light in room ...hard pillows. Also very glad breakfast wasn't included based on what we saw. Overpriced for what it is. 」

「I had to arrive late for my reservation, but the staff willingly accommodated me despite having to work later. The room was beautiful, styled in a 12th-century design. I recommend it.」

「Room was disappointing. Ceiling fan didnt work and it was a heatwave. Extractor in bathroom stayed on for an hour once light had been turned off. Only 1 pillow per person on the bed. Bath towels rough and many straggly ends. All surface areas were sticky, disgusting. Will never recommend this place, it was not the standard we paid for.」

「I stayed for one night, I wanted a location with easy access to the main roads to get to the airport while being close to the people I was visiting. The room was comfortable and clean. Easy check in and out.」

「This property had recently changed hands and was under major renovation. The previous owners were still managing the hotel while this reconstruction was happening. They were anxious to be of service during this time. The restaurant in the hotel was excellent and known locally as serving excellent Middle Eastern food. When complete, this location will probably become well recommended.」
