"Unfortunately, we never received the check-in information regarding the cabin. We’re staying in ahead of time, but we figured it out on our own when I try to contact the owner. Their information wasn’t on the Expedia website cabinet was clean but needs some updating, but this area is very beautiful. "This was our second stay at Kaldbakur. We love the location and the view! And we especially appreciate the design elements of this house. Mr Sietz is a fabulous architect/designer! We cooked all of our dinners at the house. The kitchen is sufficiently supplied but you need to bring all food items except for salt/pepper. The bed is very comfortable and the hot pot a real treat! "Great location. Good area for shopping. The staff were amazing (Micheal). The restaurant located downstairs was quite goood and Micheal made a mean old fashioned. Laundry was available until 10 pm. Last load in dryer by 9pm. Parking is free on the street in front until 10am. Would recommend this place."

"The property is in a great location and was easy to get to. There is no on site parking which can be difficult and the layout is odd - we had to go up to floor 3 from floor 1 to go down to floor 2. It wasn't really far, but more of a hassle with luggage to get to and from the room. "

"Fosshotel Mývatn is a gem in North Iceland! This was my second time staying here, and once again, it exceeded expectations. The rooms are modern, cozy, and offer incredible views of Lake Mývatn. The staff was warm and helpful, and the on-site restaurant served some of the best meals I had on the trip. It's the perfect base for exploring the surrounding natural wonders, and I’d highly recommend it to anyone staying in the area!"
