If I could give this place 10 stars I would! It had a private hot tub as advertised which was wonderful. We saw the Northern lights every night we were here. No tours needed, just look out your window. It was appointed with a kitchen which we used on several occasions to get a break from the food prices lol. Overall a 10 star from me.

Just a nice property with high-end finishes. I would stay again with no question. Location was also perfect, close to the city but far enough away to not have light pollution interferring with northern lights which we got to see!

This was our favorite place that we stayed in Iceland. Private hot tub overlooking a beautiful vista. Very comfortable and modern. It was compact, but very nicely appointed. The northern lights alluded us, but this would be a great place to see them. Less than a ten minute easy drive into town.

This is a very modern property in a great location. It was very clean and had most things you would need. Communication was very good and the property is easy to find and access is via a key lock box. It had a couple of small issues, the toilet seat was loose, a couple of light bulbs were now working, the edging on the bathroom door was hanging off and there are no hooks or shelfs to put anything. These are all issues that could be sorted, but as we were only there for one night, we didn't worry about them. One big plus is the hot tub, it was great sitting out looking at the view and just relaxing after a days hiking. It was pouring with rain, but the hot tub is undercover. We stayed in a one bedroom unit, but it looked like the two bedroom hot tubes we not covered, so might be worth checking this. Would definitely stay again on our next trip to this amazing country.

Convenient 12mins drive from Akureyri. Nice quiet location, private hot tub, fridge, oven and bbq grill. Comes with pots, pans and utensils. Do note that there’s no microwave. Enjoyed our stay there.

The property is in great condition and is fully equipped with a kitchen, an outdoor grill. Very good for a longer stay, we stayed over just one night and could t make the best out of it.

We stayed at North Mountain Suites as a family of 4 adults and one toddler and had such a wonderful experience. The rooms were very clean, comfortable, and spacious. The kitchen was well equipped with everything we needed, which made traveling with a toddler so much easier. One of the highlights was definitely the hot tub with stunning views of the city—such a perfect way to relax at the end of the day. Overall, a great stay for families, and we would happily come back again!

The place was clean and newly renovated. Spacious for a family of 4. Nice, well stacked kitchen. Amazing views from the terrace. Very quiet. The hot tub was fun and a great way to relax after a day. We really enjoyed our stay!

Amazing views, super responsive host

We booked 2 different units (kids vs. adults) and everyone had an amazing time. Sadly it didn't have laundry which would have been nice half-way through our trip but nor did they say it did so it's not a complaint, just a comment. Overall a great experience and you'll be impressed with the host, felt like they would do anything to make us happy and comfortable !

The view from your semi private deck with your very own hot tub are amazing in a country where the views are astounding. You are surrounded by majestic fjords, and overlooking the bay. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The coffee maker supplied was a like having our very own coffee shop in the cabin. Highly recommend.

This hotel was 10/10 so much so that I overslept and missed my whale watching tour, mostly because these people thought of everything, during the summer the sun sets close to midnight and rises at 3-4am so Iceland doesn’t really get dark but this room had two layers of black out curtains that you can get 100% darkness in the room with premium quality fixtures. The hot tub was prefilled for me and already hot! Very nice touch, the fridge even came stocked with some sodas and then everything in the room is premium and modern so you are most definitely getting a premium 4 star experience. As for the whale watching tour they understood and rebooked me free of charge. I wish I could stay at this place longer.

Beautiful view from unit deck. Property is spacious and comfortable. Only minor issue are the scent diffusers. I had to put outside as I do not like perfume smells.

Property was not staffed when we arrived; received a lockbox code by telephone in the lobby. The cabin was very new and Instagram-glitzy but not the most thoughtfully designed.
