「the mole offers exceptional value for the price with a small scale spa resort like vibe. however we were more than disappointed with the food which could have come out of a kitchen at Wetherspoons. A great shame as otherwise its a real gem.」

「Overall a good stay. Location was perfect, and to have parking was a real plus. The check in process is easy enough-if you get given the correct code to access your room key. However, this was rectified quickly. Cleanliness was okay, floors had not been done very well-lots of crumbs and debris in kitchen, balcony had not been brushed or cleaned in awhile as evident by the amount of bird droppings on the furniture. Never seen anything like that before . When reeling off the stuff wrong with the room the staff were not bothered at all . Was charged £130 for the night and wouldn’t have paid £30 if I had a choice .」

Every member of staff we met were warm and friendly and the cooked breakfast was superb. Appledore is such a lovely destination and a stay at the Royal George makes it all the more special. 「We booked this last minute and, given the price, I wasn’t expecting much—but I was genuinely surprised at how great our stay turned out to be. The accommodation had everything we needed, and the very good WiFi included in the price was a big bonus. The onsite restaurant served delicious, reasonably priced food, which made our stay even more enjoyable. I also have to mention the staff, who were incredibly friendly and helpful throughout.
