Rainbow Falls can only be seen by hiking the 2 additional miles from Devils Postpile (0.4 mi) from the trailhead. The only way to reach the trailhead is by taking a shuttle inside Devils Postpile National Monument in Mammoth, California. The hike is easy but fairly open so it can get pretty hot in the summer, but the view of Rainbow Falls is absolutely gorgeous! Highly recommend making the trip if you’re in Mammoth. "Can’t beat the location….ever. But the furniture, cabinets, etc have seen better days. Time for some refinishing or new furniture. Felt like I walked into a condo where I rabid cat lives that scratched the sh#t out of everything. This are all individually owned apparently but the wear and tear needs to be tended to. Would be an easy fix for the price they are all charging especially during ski season. "

"We enjoyed our stay for being close to Yosemite. It was reasonably priced. The beds were comfortable but a little soft. The breakfast arrangement was very nice but I wish they had a plant-based unsweetened milk option. I also wish they would avoid single use plastic. It was easy to walk to Denny’s for a quick dinner and we really enjoyed the Oakhurst Grill further away. Parking later at night had to be further away. "

"Great hotel close to canyon lodge. The hotel room is dated but does give a cozy mountain cabin feel. The main attraction is how close it is to canyon lodge so you can just walk there in the morning for first tracks. The bar and restaurant are also huge pluses with great food and drinks."

"Sierra Sky Ranch was wonderful. The room we had with a king bed was a little tight as was the bathroom but that didn’t matter to us, just mentioning it incase you are a person that wants a lot of space. We really appreciated the water machine and hot water for tea available in the lobby areas. We used the sitting areas for a family game and took a walk to the creek. It was a really charming place and we will definitely stay there again. Would definitely refer to friends and family. "
