「The check-in was the terrible part about our stay. I have stayed in 100's of hotels and never experienced anything like this. Our party of 11 arrived (4 rooms) Lady at the front desk just stared at me. I told her we needed to check in. I handed her my ID and she told me she only had 3 rooms for me. I showed her my conf that had 4 rooms. She said someone else checked into 1 of our rooms so she only had 3. I told her we just arrived in town, if someone checked into 1 of our rooms, it wasn't us....

「The staff were great! Sara the breakfast lady was super friendly. The bathroom had wallpaper peeling off and no exhaust fan. Toilet paper was thin not the nice angel soft we had at another Hampton. Breakfast was very good, lots of options. The luggage carriers disappeared or someone was lazy and didn’t put them back where they belong.」

「Staff was friendly. Breakfast buffet included make your own waffles, bagels with cream cheese or peanut butter, cereal, and muffins. Our main issue was just that the exercise room was closed and looked like it was being used for storage. If we had known that I probably would have booked somewhere else. 「Tiny room, but adequate. Water pressure was low. Nice pillows, furnishings. Do like to support this owner. Economic in value. Close to amenities.」

「I first want to say the owners are very nice. I do think they wanted us to feel comfortable and welcome. The house is old and beautiful, my curiosity of growing up near this property made me want to stay here instead of Hampton Inn. The access to the living and dining room was appealing because my family still lives in keokuk and we don’t have anywhere big enough to relax and visit together. 「We loved staying in this house with character! My kids liked that the park was across the street so they could go play when we had a little down time. We spent most of our time in Nauvoo (which wasn’t ideal because the bridge was closed) but the restaurant down the street was delicious and fun.
