「天文台のナイトツアー参加のために利用。 砦跡やマーファへの観光にも。 朝食込でしたが、超簡単な内容。 部屋のレンジは役に立ちました。エアコンはちょっとうるさいかも・・・。」

「Cutest little historic hotel! We loved walking the town - ate delicious pizza next door! Cant comment on the staff as we didnt need them. Instructions to get in the hotel were simple. The kids loved all the games to play. I believe there was one or two other guest rooms occupied..we slept soundly! Easy to find the roll away bed with extra linens.」

「This is an old hotel but the upkeep leaves something to be desired. There were “ burrs” in the carpeting that clung to our socks and didn’t feel very good either! The coffee in the lobby was the worst and depleted by 7:30. There were no cup covers for the coffee cups. 」

「We were very happy with the accommodations at High Frontier. The bunkroom was spacious and well stocked. The outdoor scenery was fantastic. We spent the first night staring into the dark skies looking at the stars. The location is close to Fort Davis, Marfa and Alpine (within 25 miles). A great place to be "home base" for the area. We definitely recommend for your next vacation spot.」

「Never saw any office staff - door was unlocked (as our email said) and all was clean and cute place. Coffee maker did not work but coffee shop was across the street.」

Well-stocked kitchen was great for making a meal or two a day, which is a good call with the somewhat limited dining options in town on Sundays / Mondays. Beds were comfy with plenty of bedding available. We loved having breakfast on the little patio out back and sitting on the front porch looking at the mountains. 「The views in this place are incredible, mountains for miles! You can see the sun rise and set from the same comfortable seat. The house is fresh, clean and nicely appointed with a well-stocked kitchen. The host was gracious and kept us informed at all times. And the location is perfect, a relatively short walk to shops and restaurants downtown, and an easy drive to McDonald Observatory. We have stayed many places in Fort Davis over the years and this place is our clear favorite. 」

「Remote location was quiet and private but very close to Ft Davis as well as other area attractions (Mcdonald Observatory, Balmorhea State Park/San Solomon Springs Pool, Ft Davis State Park, Marfa, etc.) The cabin was clean, well-equipped and the bed was super-comfortable. Saw aoudad sheep and many Texas songbirds during our stay. There's hiking available with great views of this spectacular ranch property」

「We enjoyed the place, nice small and quiet area. There were some things that the place was lacking. The cleaning supplies was not enough to clean bathroom and kitchen area. No cleaner for the tub or toilet bowl was provided. The kitchen could definitely use more cooking utensils and kitchen towels. We dud notice small spiders near the bed area, they were spider webs up on the beams might want to spray and get webbs out before next guests. The outside mat should be thicker to avoid bringing in...

「This pet friendly property offered us a base camp with easy access to Davis Mountains State Park, chihuahuan desert research institute, Alpine, and Marfa. The property was well kept and the beds were comfortable. I haven’t seen a night sky that big since the Omani desert. Plenty of deer and javelinas around dusk every day. 」
