The rooms were clean and the staff were helpful . If you are staying on the second floor there are about 15-18 steps to navigate up as there is no elevator. Currently there is no in house restaurant. There are a few off the main street.

Keep in mind the hotel is well over 100 years old. It has been lovingly maintained though the upstairs porches are not safe , the wraparound veranda downstairs is excellent for relaxing. This is a great spot to stay while you visit the McDonald Observatory, Davis Mountain scenic route,Chihuahuan-desert botanical garden and Marfa,Tx. Most of all the staff are very helpful and kind..
