"Amazing hotel to stay at. Beds and pillows very comfortable. The onsen was delightful and the proximity to the train station made it easy to get to. But also was still very close to other spots. "The bike rental was amazingly well priced for high quality e-bikes-900 yen for 3 hours! We went to the street markets, Hida village with the bikes. Hotel was newish, everything was very clean."

"The place is neat and has plenty of rooms We booked a deluxe room with a kitchen and 2 bedrooms. The parking is located on the premise and the hotel is well located next to the Main Street of Takayama with all the shops and restaurants. "

"Quiet and older onsen by the river and train tracks in Gero onsen town. A shuttle service is providing certain hours, but we opted to walk to the resort from the train station. After a hot bath I recommend having a nice cold milk from the vending machines. Staff was friendly, room was clean, and it was fun to try the dinner/breakfast. Some instructions and info on how and what we were eating would have been nice but not knowing is a fun part of that experience! Thank you for having us!"

We came to the exceptionally clean and classy establishment and greeted by the jovial staff member Riko M. Despite how busy it was, she made sure we were well taken care of and made navigating the system easy especially with her great English skills. She had no trouble making us feel welcome in an unfamiliar area. The breakfast had a wide variety and even had several staff members keeping everything in order to make it a smooth dining experience. We would easily visit again during our next stay in Takayama and also recommend Wat Hotel to friends and family. "
