If you're going to stay in this area of Bali, this is the place to stay. To be honest, I don't know if it is truly a "5 star" resort as it doesn't come close to the Ritz Carlton-level, but it is a really nice place. The resort is family friendly with all kinds of activities for the kids. Luxurious hotel with amazing beaches. The breakfast buffet or at the lounge was amazing. The staff are very helpful and they make you feel that you are their only guest. Bali with its congestion and litter isn't really all a paradise. The moment you walk into the Trans hotel that changes. This hotel really seems to "get" the customer service/satisfaction piece. Soulshine Bali hotel was an Amazing experience. The hotel staff were amazing, very sweet and accommodating. They also upgraded my room for free to a better room prior to getting there so when I arrived, I was able to stay in a larger sized room with better amenities. Exceptionally welcoming staff, clean property in good condition with good food. We stayed in seven properties in Bali on this holiday, some significantly more expensive but this was our favourite by a long way and probably the only one we would consider returning to. Good value, relaxing and welcoming.

Nice Hotel. All the staff members were helpful and courteous except the Reception staff who guided us wrongly on check out date. We had explained to them on check out day that we had 4 suitcase and two hand bags and the lady at the reception said that it could fit in a taxi. We stayed in a villa and were upgraded to an Ocean front view at check in- this room was so beautiful and well placed within the resort. When booking, I didn’t realize the villas come with access to around the clock personal buggy pick up/drop off. This was a wonderful surprise and it saved us quite a bit of time! The hotel deserves 10 stars when it comes to staff service, space, pool, beach, and breakfast buffet. The drinks are over priced and its way too far from Kuta and Seminyak which Where the shopping, restaurants, and bars are. Get rid or upgrade the souvenir shops at the corner of the property. They look terrible given the overall nice surrounding of the beach. There are two located between the hotel and ocean, one in each corner. The goal when you sit on the lounge chair is to relax and enjoy by the beach; What I have noticed is that people that sell items at the souvenir shop make a lot of noise and spit on the ground(kind of gross & disgusting). Other than that, no complaints.
