First thing to note when planning a trip to Daufuskie Island is there is NO Bridge. To reach our island you must book a ferry, water taxi or come by your own boat. Once on the island you’ll need grounds transport from your arrival dock to your JonBie Maisons vacation home. JonBie Maisons has options listed for both ferry/water taxi and transport providers and will be happy to make recommendations based on your travel arrangements.

Immersed in spanish moss and island marsh waterways with the ocean waves and wind at your back. Beautiful, private Villa nestled on second row of ocean residences. Enjoy tranquil setting, located mere steps from the ocean.

Free Wifi - Roku TV's, bring your firestick, fully equipped kitchen, beautifully appointed baths in each bedroom and your pet is welcomed. Meet the island wilderness on the marsh trails with the scent of ocean breezes passing by. The world will slip away while you dine al fresco listening to marsh life hum and sing.

Excellent property, Everything was great. Place is very clean and well decorated. Area beautiful and quit. Golf cart was a huge plus! Hold on the local roads are bumpy! lol! Beautiful and quiet!

Although the Melrose resort is not fully reopened, it remains a beautiful area, and this property is no exception. Close to the beach, serene, and quiet—and fully equipped for anything you’d need. The provided golf cart was high quality and useful (the battery lasted multiple trips to and from Haig Point or Freeport). We would absolutely stay here again!

Feathered Nest at Daufuskie Island - superb!

My husband and I spent an extended weekend at the Feathered Nest. What a delightful villa! It was clean and fully stocked and ideally located. We especially appreciated having the use of a golf cart while we were on the island. Very close to the beach and since it was centrally located, the restaurant options and historical sites were easily accessible. GREAT visit - EXCELLENT hosts!

Wonderful stay!

Highly recommend this property! The house was perfect, very comfortable with a huge screened in porch. Very personable check-in which was awesome. They truly went above and beyond for me when I told them my connection to Dufausky. Beach access was easy and having a golf cart included was key. Would definitely stay here again!

Melrose on Daufuskie

Our stay was wonderful. Everything was clean and super comfortable. We were excited to find the Brita Water Filter jug and a hypo-allergenic pillow for me (I am allergic to feathers.) I think our dog had the most fun sitting on the entire mound of dog beds. We can’t wait to visit again!

The space was nicer than expected with a wonderful covered porch. Was great for 4 adults. The beach was 2 minute walk and since everyone uses golf carts seemed super safe to navigate roads. Very quite and laid back atmosphere! Want to come back again!

Amazing escape!

We always love Daufuski island, but this has been our favorite place yet. Our condo, just a couple-minutes walk from the beach, was inctedibly relaxing and absolutely perfect for us. And the porch was even more spacious and serene in actuality than in the photos. Our trip couldn’t have been better. We’ll definitely be back next year!

The condo was perfect for our family! Clean, comfortable furniture and bedding, large porch, condiments provided, golf cart, and surprisingly no noise from other units in the building. Fantastic location, one block from the beach. Quiet, clean, and comfortable. The property manager was very responsive and helpful. Our fridge was running warm, he brought over a new one asap. Highly recommended!

Fun Stay

Loved the property and location to the beach. I would get up in the morning and walk less than a 100 yards to the beach to watch the sun rise. It was so peaceful and quiet. It will be hard getting back to our regular schedule now. We'll be back for sure.
