"We booked a 2 bedroom apartment with twin beds in 1 room and whilst the hotel was agreeable to splitting a bed, it took over 24 hours to happen.
The patio had all services on it (hot water system and 2 aircon motors, 1 of which was not for this room), and the aircon drain was direct onto the patio floor, so you could not use the patio except to stand in the middle of it on a mat that was placed on it for water reasons.
The apartment was advertised to have aircon, but it was in the loungeroom only. It was very hot during our stay, which made sleeping very uncomfortable.
The hotel was advertised as having off-street parking, but it was an extra fee and there was non available anyway. Street parking was paid parking and for an hour period at a time only (unless you pay a day rate in a nearby building), which made it difficult for our sporting event and going back to the hotel.
There was limited utensils in the kitchen for cooking and the dishwasher didn't work, which would explain why the limited utensils were dirty at the start. There was no tea towel, washing liquid, toaster, sharp knife etc., which made it harder. .
There was a funky smell in the hotel building.
If you enjoy cultural dining, there is some great local food places. Just be careful walking around at night, as it does not feel like the safest place to be in. "
"The bnedroom was huge (twin room), the beds magnificent and the bedding amazing. Thanks so much for going with feathers and down, so much better than synthetic. We slept like the proverbial logs! Evertything about Holiday Inn Dandenong was fabulous."
