Quite walkable to the Royal Mile and Waverley Station, maybe 10-15 minutes. Mostly flat, though Waverley itself is down a slope.
Breakfast was good and not too busy, though I stuck to the less busy times as advertised. Restaurant also quite qiet, though bar was busy on one night at least (there was a football game on!)
All-in-all, typical Novotel.

Quiet, clean. Twin room so had 2 large beds per person. Very spacious room. Used the pool and sauna which was nice and included in our stay. Location is great. Staff helpful.
