「We had a wonderful stay at Ockenden Manor, the staff are lovely, service in the restaurant is excellent and very friendly. Shout out to the chef, each dish was beautifully presented and so delicious. We enjoyed every course and then took a walk around the gorgeous gardens. Our room (Luke) was spacious, beautifully decorated with views over the gardens and the bed super comfy. Relaxing in the spa and time around the outdoor pool made for a perfect mini break. We hope to return soon! 」

「My husband & I had to travel from the other end of the country to visit an elderly relative in the nearby hospital, and needed a reasonably-priced last-minute room for 2 nights. This fitted the bill perfectly, and I knew we'd made the right choice when I spoke to the Manager. What a lovely guy: friendly, honest, helpful, straightforward, and so easy to deal with. Many hotel managers could take a lesson from him.

「Lovely find. Clean room, fridge was a nice touch, clean and crisp bedding and fluffy towels. Tea & coffee facilities, another side table would have been helpful. Maybe coasters to avoid coffee cup marks. Definitely be back. 」

Fan and hairdryer supplied in room, window you can open for fresh air
Robe and slippers a nice touch, but you need them as private bathroom across the hall and up to is the next half landing
Short walk to the beach, about half a mile to pier and a mile or so to station.
Lots of cafés and shops nearby, co-op hairdresser and pubs

「On arrival we were given a deluxe room which smelled damp and looked out onto a flat roof and pipes. We were moved to a modern upgraded room. Staff handled it all brilliantly. Food dinner. Formerly helpful staff. Near Gatwick. 」
