"Beautiful tropical jungle property. The staff is hardworking and friendly. Buffet & smokehouse are great, entertainment throughout the day & wildlife is abundant. Rooms are quirky & small but each have a porch/balcony with nice hammock. The beach is rocky so bring water shoes. The location is far from town but close to dive/snorkel spots. Mainly families, divers & couples staying here but be aware they do offer day passes to cruisers. We enjoyed our stay"

"Tropical elegance beachfront resort! We loved staying at Playa Azul Cozumel. From the excellent, friendly staff and the amazing large room with a jacuzzi to the beautiful beach and delicious food from both restaurants on the resort, we had the best romantic vacation! We will definitely come back! The resort was very quite, mostly couples and families. They had two open air restaurants. One was smaller and served the best hot breakfast (omelets prepared for you, and a hot buffet with mexican and american breakfast offerings), the breakfast buffet was included for us. They also served lunch and dinner too. The large open air restaurant had bands where you could dance and they had the best lime soup (myan recipe). The pool was just the right size and there was a children's pool too with a small playground. Our room was on the first floor, so we had easy access to the pool and beach. I loved the natural tropical surroundings of the resort. The beach was on the small side, but the resort had plenty of sand, palm umbrellas, and beach lounge chairs. The beach was the perfect place to watch an amazing sunset. "
