"Typically I would read reviews of others experience, it just so happened that in this case I did not, as the pictures looked so satisfying. My actual experience was far from this. I arrived to the hotel after a late night flight, the first staff member was helpful in getting me checked in. "The cabin was an excellent calming retreat listening to only the sounds of the birds and nature. The steps up to the cabins can be a bit steep (up to 30cm/ 12 inches) but assuming you are there to hike Park Tayrona it's a good warm up for the trails in the park. Breakfast and dinners were excellent and Kevin our front desk person, arranged an early breakfast so we could get to the hikes at break of dawn. "Top notch facility, clean, outstanding views, very gracious staff and 100% secure. I got one of the VIP rooms with 2 beds and baths. Picture perfect sunsets. There is a beautiful view of the city from the rear where the door and walkway are, and there is a small soccer field down below where you can take in all levels of games from 8am-11pm with food and refreshments. I advise to not venture too far back there for your safety, however, but the walled city is just a 15 minute walk or 5 min Uber...

"My overall opinion regarding the hotel was good. However, the bed and pillows were a little hard. The AC turned off around 3 a.m., which made it difficult to sleep during the night. The staff and service people were really nice and friendly. The buffet food was not very good, and it was cold considering the price they charged. The location was good and convenient for walking around."
