Serene farmhouse with AC in charming Olathe

10/10 Excellent

"Very nice house just outside of town in a private setting. The rooms were spacious and nicely appointed. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed. Our only comment on the property is that the front bedroom is bright. While we didn't have any trouble with our 12-year-old sleeping in that room, it may cause younger kids to wake up early. Our 12-year-old did enjoy petting the outdoor cats. The night sky was gorgeous with all the stars."

"Overall, this hotel is a good stop for a night or 2! It is outdated and definitely could use new beds/pillows, however the staff does a good job of keeping it clean. The staff are very kind and very helpful! The breakfast is always great and I love that they make eggs to order! I’ve stayed here a few times over the years when traveling to Cedaredge and it’s always a decent stay."

"Came to check in and there was a power outage through no fault of the lodge. At the time there was no running water but I was charged $2.00 each for a bottle of water. I understand when things are beyond your control but you should make some compensation or rate reduction for inconvenience. The power did come on at 9:00 pm that night which was great. My boys and I loved the cabin and the price was very reasonable. We brought our pet and the person at the front desk was very worried that we wouldn’t come back to pay the extra $40 since it wasn’t billed yet and the register wasn’t working without power. He drove by the cabin an hour later to let me know their generator had the register working so I could go pay for my dog fee. I was there for two nights and fully intended to pay the fee since I had emailed earlier in the week reminding them that I needed to add it to my cost. Overall my kids and I rated the stay an 8 out of 10, there were just a couple of things that could have been better"

"A great place to stay just outside of Montrose. The overall stay and accommodation was great. Plenty of room, everything needed from pans to glasses, dishwasher, washer and dryer, and a nice hot tub outside. The one thing I learned that Vrbo dropped the ball to notify the owner that I rented the property for 3 days. When I got to the property it was not cleaned and I contacted the owner and she said that she didn’t have any reservations. She contacted Vrbo to get the placed cleaned within the hour. We were told to go to dinner and the place would be ready in an hour. After dinner we returned to the rental and everything was taken care of. Going forward, I will contact the owner directly after the confirmation from Vrbo to verify everything is in order. Thank you Sarah for contacting Vrbo to take care of the mixup. She is a great host and we would definitely stay there the next trip to Montrose."
