The service at reception was very slow. We ended up being helped by a very helpful guy. But the one who welcomed us was rude and unhelpful, even getting into an argument with another guest about the service level. Everything else about the hotel was great. We didn’t stay for breakfast (booking made me put a score!) but the hotel room smelt nice, the bed was comfortable, the room was well equipped and modern. We were given free parking as we had to wait so long at reception which was really appreciated.

Trendy hotel - limited dinner menu

Gorgeous hotel! Very comfortable and stylish. Dinner menu was very disappointing though - but apparently we arrived whilst they were revamping the menu. It would’ve been nice to have more choice. Excellent location if you’re attending an event at Koelnmesse.

Clean hotel great staff just needed some TLC

Staff were excellent and very friendly. Room was clean but the Toilet seat was broken and the sink had a leak which made the towels wet underneath, but it was still a very pleasant stay. AC worked brilliantly!

Looks good but bad experience

Excellent hotel, comfortable, nice designs, but sadly I experienced a flooding in the bathroom just taking a shower. Arrived Very late, tired and this happened. Phone was not working, rooms in a basement had not network thus I had to go to reception at midnight to ask for help. They gave me another room where the heater was turned on at 32 degrees! So impossible to sleep straight with such heat (even the walls and bed were extremely hot so no time to cool down. The personel tried to help bit couldn't do much, and I was not in the best mood that late to wait at reception.

Nice overnight!!

Didn't take breakfast but the hotel was very convenient and quaint. Good for a overnight. Would recommend! Make sure the door is closed, some hard to shut.

Even though I had paid the full hotel fee when I made the reservation months in advance, they unilaterally cancelled my reservation, without any prior notice, on the morning of the day of my stay. Will they give me a proper refund? I will have to wait and see.

No cold water no service

No cold water and when we informed reception they said they will send someone the following day, we only had a night there and so they literally didn’t care and so we had to use the showers of another room as we we’re travelling together.

Have stayed here multiple times on business trips but think this has been my last unfortunately. Positives: Good Location for the Messe/trade show hall Wi-fi was ok Staff seemed polite Negatives: Rooms are really scratched and marked and not cleaned properly, looking really run down. Small space in the room, bland and boring, no decor. Terrible soundproofing, can hear everything. No kettle or coffee machine in the room. I asked reception if I could take a coffee from the breakfast room even though I hadn't booked breakfast, she said 'sure' implying it would be free but I was charged when leaving. Area seemed a bit unsafe, lots of unsavoury looking guys hanging around outside.

We did not have a great time in Dorint an der Messe Köln. First, I did not think that we were assigned to our booked room type. We have booked the superior room, however, the hotel gave us a room that was identical to a comfort room as shown on their website. The staff insisted that a superior room was given to us, but the size of the given room was clearly the same as the comfort room type. In addition, poor hygiene of the hotel restaurant was noticed. We had breakfast in the hotel for four days, in two of the four days, we saw a mouse crossing in the middle of the restaurant. Other customers and even the staff also noticed that. We were truly concerned about the hygiene for the catering area. I would appreciate if there comes any follow-up action for these problems. Thank you.

Eigentlich ein gutes Hotel, das ich gebucht hatte, weil laut Expedia-Seite täglich ab 6:30 Uhr Frühstück angeboten wird. Da ich um 7 Uhr abreisen musste, hätte das gepasst. Tatsächlich gibt es allerdings erst ab 7 Uhr Frühstück! Ich habe also ein relativ teures Frühstück gebucht und bezahlt, das ich dann nicht bekommen habe. Als ich um 7 Uhr auschecken wollte, war niemand an der Rezeption. Die Servicekraft vom Frühstück sagte, die Kollegin sei vielleicht auf dem Klo... naja. Nach geschlagenen 10 Minuten kam die Mitarbeiterin. Ich hatte es mittlerweile sichtlich eilig, habe noch einmal erwähnt, dass ich die Geschichte mit dem Frühstück nicht in Ordnung fand. Die Mitarbeiterin sagte, das wäre wohl ein Missverständnis (was kann man an einer angegeben Uhrzeit "täglich ab 6:30 Uhr missverstehen?). Darauf wurde mit angeboten, dass die Kollegen mir jetzt noch etwas zusammenpacken könnten, das dauere nur 5 Minuten. Als ich sagte, dass ich es eilig habe, wurde mir noch angeboten, ein Taxi für mich zu rufen... während meine Bahn jeden Moment eeg war. Das Zimmer war groß, sauber, ruhig und schön, der Mitarbeiter beim Empfang auch sehr freundlich. Schade, dass hier falsche Infos vorliegen und der Aufenthalt dadurch getrübt wird. Dafür ist es dann auch zu teuer.

Unser Buchung wurde vor Ort storniert, mit der Begründung das Hotel sei bereits ausgebucht und es hätte ein „Systemfehler“ bei unsere Buchung gegeben. Die Reservierung hätte aus dem Grund gar nicht stattfinden dürfen. Sowas hab ich noch nie erlebt. Das Hotel hat uns auf eine 15 min. entfernten Hotel einen Zimmer gebucht. Taxikosten und Parkgebühren würden sie übernehmen, laut Mitarbeiter an der Rezeption. Nichts davon ist geschehen. Daher kann ich diesen Hotel definitiv nicht empfehlen! Nie wieder!

Wir waren eine Nacht für eine Veranstaltung in der Arena und im Bootshaus in diesem Hotel. Die Lage und das Personal sind wirklich super. Das Standard Doppelzimmer allerdings recht klein, es hat sehr feucht/ muffig gerochen und die Sauberkeit hat etwas zu wünschen übrig gelassen. Vielleicht hatten wir hier aber auch einfach nur Pech mit unserem Zimmer.
