「We had a nice large room and bathroom. Spotlessly clean with a sofa. A welcoming array of tea/coffee with biscuits. Our only slight disapointment was that breakfast was a little greasy . Excellent location with great friendly staff.」

「Clean, good location, pleasant staff and overall a good stay. I am happy to recommend this hotel for a stay.」

「１０回ほど利用させていただいています。こじんまりとした部屋ですが、清掃は行き届いており快適に過ごせます。レセプションやレストランも含めスタッフはフレンドリーで居心地の良い宿です。」

「Very helpful chap checked me in, nice room, nice bathroom etc」

「The room was clean but the curtains and chair were thread bare. The staff were excellent. The breakfast was OK during the week but excellent at the weekend. The bar and staff were really good but quite expensive. Overall it was a nice stay but in my opinion the hotel needs a over hall.」

「This was a great location for me to visit Galashiels. Its a lovely old manse building with nice clean big rooms and comfy beds. The owners of the guest house were on site, very friendly and welcoming. I had a sound night's sleep and woke to a lovely cooked breakfast with all the trimmings. I couldn't fault my stay. There is plenty parking but lots of free street parking nearby anyway so no issues there. I wouldn't hesitate to book again.」

「Convenient location bang in the middle of Selkirk. Hotel has a nice bar and restaurant with attentive and friendly staff. Breakfast very good but, at £35 a head, very expensive.」

「Very nice stay as we have had previously and we will be going back」

「The public areas were a bit dark and gloomy. The bedroom was hot and stuffy even with the windows open. Some furniture was quite old fashioned but the bed was comfortable enough. The food was OK but lacked better wine choices. The breakfast was a bit too greasy. Staff were friendly and helpful.」

「Outstanding and caring staff optimised our stay. Gorgeous food and it was great to chat with the owner. Suggest an EV charge point for guests would be an enhancement. There was a commercial point just a couple of miles away in town, but being able to charge overnight would save time in our day and make sure we were ready to travel around visiting the region. Only minor inconvenience was the shower: needing to be handheld is not a ‘luxury’ feature as listed - if they could be properly wall...

「I really enjoyed my stay, and certainly hope to get back to this hotel very soon. The quality of food at breakfast was incredible.」

「schönes Ambiente, nettes Personal, das Zimmer war recht groß. Frühstück war sehr gut und reichlich.」

「Booking restaurant reservations for more than six people is via an automated telephone system which isn’t managed. Very difficult to book a table. Book on line should provide a larger table capacity selection or provide an email to request a table for larger parties not the telephone system.」

「We were happy enough with our room at St Ronans Hotel and we were grateful for the host's recommendation that we should go to The Traquair Arms Hotel for our evening meal.」
