Wonderful country setting on the River Tweed and right next door to the atmospheric abbey ruins. Good walks in the area. Nice for a romantic getaway. The breakfast rooms were traditionally elegant but the dining room lacked charm and ambience. The two should be reversed with a more upscale menu for dinner.

Dryburgh Abbey hotel was wonderful. Check-in was with a person which was nice to experience seeing as many places are now contactless. Our room and bathroom were clean and comfortable and the dining areas lovely.

We had a fantastic stay. The staff were first class. Peace and quiet was just what we wanted. Superb view of the Tweed from our room and lovely walks in the grounds. Ideal location for Border exploration

Lived staying here. The staff are so friendly and hard working, especially Charlotte. She is so helpful and nothing is too much for her. Although the hotel is a bit dated, it goes with the ambiance of the building. I found our room and bathroom clean and cozy. The building has so many areas to sit and relax. We liked it that much we have booked another trip in September

We had a lovely stay the room was big the bed was huge-lovely. Staff changed our room to a ground floor which was appreciated. The decor is old and tired and but that didn’t bother us

The property is unique and comfortable as an old building in the Borders. The staff are excellent and very responsive to your needs. The building is obviously old and the rooms dated, however that should be expected in a building of this age.

A really nice hotel. We enjoyed our short stay. The room was spacious, clean and had good facilities. My only slight issue was that breakfast was a buffet. I prefer breakfast to be cooked to order.

The estate at the hotel is beautiful near.the river. The room we were given to begin with was.not suitable very stuffy and small. We couldnt open the windows.We requested another room and this was dealt with very quickly by the receptionist. and we ended up with a lovely airy,, spacious room with views of the river (and the windows opened). We enjoyed our stay.

Lovely location and very helpful staff. The rooms were large and comfortable but perhaps a little dated for some people.plenty of hot water and a good shower. The food is very enjoyable and a good ammount to.chhose from for breakfast. We will return when next working in the area. We have stayed on 2 occasions and find the hotel ideal for our needs.

The beautiful surroundings

Overall the stay was good. Room was a bit cold early evening, but our overnight sleep was too hot as the quilt tended to cocoon our body. The surrounding areas were excellent for walks and not to mention the food as it was beautiful
