"we were very happy in this hotel. Staff was nice and friendly. Breakfast tasty even for us - vegans/vegetarians, we especially liked the fried beans and daily potatoes in skin. Centraly located in downtown St. Denis just a few steps away from the ocean. Free drinks at the lobby were very much appreciated. Would love to come back ane day."

"they let me park right in front, incredibly convenient. Super nice front desk clerk, spoke English well. I didn't stay in other hotels in Reunion, so have nothing with which to compare other than mostly Bonvoy properties in the US (and a few in Europe). It wasn't as nice as most Bonvoy properties, but maybe for the island it was veyr good. I'd stay again if needed. The breakfast looked decent, but I didn't have time to partake."

"the Akoya hotel is a great hotel, the pool is amazing, the view is incredible, the rooms are good, the location is super handy to walk to restaurants and the beach. But let's not kid ourselves, it is not a 5 star hotel, price quality ratio is not the greatest. Now, don't get me wrong we had a good stay, but lamps in the room and in the common areas are not working, walls are worn out and cracking ... not the type of things that should happen in a 5 star, but totally acceptable for a 3 or 4. all...
