Great spot near the beach

Nice and close to the beach. Communication was great and the room had everything needed to cook a small meal. Outside of the busyness of Christchurch, this is a great town to visit and place to stay.

The couple running this motel are awesome. Sumner Beach is such a great village to unwind. So close to the city yet a lot more laid back. The beach and variety of eateries are all walkable from this motel. Recommended.

Great location, relaxing stay

This place has a great location just a block from the Sumner esplanade and walking distance to a dozen or so places to eat. The unit was spacious, functional, and safe. We had plenty of space for all of our stuff and it was a great place to relax and enjoy our time here. It's a bit dated (especially the carpet) but overall was a good place to stay.

Fantastic stay - great location.

This property was recommended to us as a great place to stay when travelling with your family dog. It didn't disappoint. Communication was fabulous, the apartment was clean and had what we needed for our stay. Fantastic location for access to beaches and walkways as well as Sumner village. Highly reccommend.

Despite helpfullness at office, was disappointed on arrival to find my door was awry on its hinges and wouldn't shut. (It was fixed later which was good). AlsoThe bathroom basin plug was jammed closed so unable to let water out. I felt that the cleaners must have noticed these faults and should have reported them to the office. Other than that it was a clean and pleasant apartment and I would consider booking again.

Our stay was perfect from the moment we checked in till the end of our stay. Tony and his wife who own and operate the motel were great. They made sure that our stay was enjoyable and a highlight in our New Zealand trip. Location is 5 minutes walking from a lovely sand beach and lots of restaurants. Would gladly stay again.
