"Not all rooms are renovated. We stayed in an older room with a small bathroom and shower that leaked out. The bathroom was not completely clean. The hot tub and pools had bugs in them, and the indoor pool was broken the first day. "

Limited food options - the Last Kind Words Saloon had the best food but hard to get into, the Wild Rose Tavern had a very limited menu but great service, and the buffet food was decidedly mixed. Some superficial appearance issues like on-site construction and weary carpets. "

"The grounds are beautiful. Lots of greenery and privacy among the buildings. Nice size clean rooms. Staff is very friendly. Check in was a breeze. The breakfast is one of the best we have had from any hotel. Light buffet with a wide variety (Dennys is next door for people who want more). The on sight bar and restaurant offers a wide variety of delicious options. Beautiful paintings from the original owners fill the dining room and bedrooms. We ate all our meals here. Town of Oakhurst is just down the street. Easy drive to Yosemite & Bass Lake. EXCELLENT STAY. We will definitely be back!!!"
