A beautiful hotel in a lovely quiet location a short walk from the busy centre. The reception staff were very friendly and helpful. On several occasions they called restaurants to make reservations for us. The breakfast was good with plenty of choice. There is a lovely courtyard to sit and enjoy drinks and snacks day or night. Overall we loved our stay and would return.

You have a lot of restaurants in a short walking distance. You have a famous sandwich shop you must try. Train station not too far. The hotel is very small. The staff is the best part

The booking was easy! Arriving there the staff were impeccable, helpful and so professionally courteous. I had a room on the 5th floor but had to walk up a staircase to my room. I didnt have a bathtub which I really that i wished I had asked for specifically. The bed was comfortable and the room was a.perfect temperature. I had 3 windows and opening the 2 made a flow through beautiful breeze. There is a church nearby and bells ring every half hour. I found it pleasant. Also the sound of horses hooves could be heard clopping outside and it was very cozy feeling. I slept great, breakfast was good. Again, service was impeccable!

This was our second stay at Maria Novella and we love it there but while we were there there was a soccer game in town, Florence against a team from London. We had a suite overlooking the piazza and for two nights until about midnight the fans from the London team were at the bar two floors down yelling and doing their soccer chants, for hours!! I have never experienced anything like that, there were many police in the area but they didn’t shut them down. Of course we complained along with others but the hotel really couldn’t do anything. I’m not trashing the hotel but you better hope there isn’t a match scheduled while you’re there. The manager actually gave us a bottle of wine and some biscotti, very nice thing to do. Again, the hotel is wonderful.

The hotel is convenient located, in the middle of everything. Parking is close and the staff is very nice.
