Stunning hotel and maintained to a spotless standard. Bit of a trek to the centre and parking not cheap but good services just outside (tram, bus) - just takes some working out. We probably didn't need to go for the suite considering the time of year (Sauna and jacuzzi not overly used after stomping streets in near 40deg heat!). Breakfast good and staff super friendly/informative.

The entire stay was perfect, from start to finish. This hotel is to the image of Florence: beautiful and steeped in history. All staff were professional, competent and very pleasant. Our room was comfortable and the all-linen sheets? Dreamy. The breakfast was delicious and suited all tastes. We could not have asked for a better location to explore all that Florence has to offer.

It was a great overnight stay. Short walk to the Central market and restaurants. We could not cool the room below 25 C so it was pretty hot.

The man who did my initial check in was lovely and explained everything and showed me to my room. My reason for the low rating was for the most part the room. For the amount of money for 3 nights, my room could only be described as tired and scruffy looking. There was a whole in the wall of the shower, plaster coming away from the walls and a lot of general scuffs and marks which really detracted from it being a quality accommodation. The room also had an odd selection of amenities - for example, multiple shower caps but no hairdryer. I had to ring down to reception to ask for one to be brought up. Even the low cost basic B&B in Siena had a hairdryer. The shower was very basic with only a hand held faucet on a wall bracket. The roof top bar views are stunning and pretty spectacular when you first step out onto the deck. The pool is quite small and it can get very busy. I would go to the pool when it opened at 9am and for all 3 mornings that I was there I had it completely to myself for a good hour or so which was bliss. The drinks are expensive - eg, €10 for a Coke, and €15 for a small glass of Rosé, but you are in the heart of Florence. The rooftop bar staff were lovely. I ate once in the hotel restaurant and the food was lovely. It is quite a limited selection so I would take a look at the menu before going. The location is spectacular - 5 minutes to the Duomo and the Arno. Right in the centre for the Ufizzi and Pontevechio. Overall the room let it down significantly
