Hidden gem

This place was perfect. The area was absolutely beautiful (even in the rain); the apartment was clean and spacious; and Fred couldn't have been nicer or more accommodating. I'd give it 6 stars if Vrbo allowed it!

Vacation Away

This was an incredible place to stay with my family. We traveled from NC to see family, and we wanted to relax. The easy access to the lake, kayaks, and row boats drew our family to this place. Everything was great!

This property was perfect for our family! It was clean, comfortable, and right on the lake. Our kids loved swimming and kayaking, and caught 18 fish in one hour! Pat and Fred were incredible hosts, and helped us immediately with any concern. They even let us borrow their fishing poles! We will definitely return!

Great Location

Really nice location on Lake Lauderdale. Unit is lower level of house that was clean and comfortable. Hope to come back again next year.

Gracious Host

We had a wonderful weekend and were pleased with how helpful and accommodating the host was to us. The lake was peaceful and the property beautiful. When I messaged the host about having an outdoor fire and if we needed to supply wood, they amazingly had the fire pit ready to go with wood, kindling and paper. I only had to light the paper, and it roared to life. Highly recommended.

We loved lakeside life!

My husband, son and I had a wonderful weekend at the lake. The state park with swimming beach is right down the road, small beach but fun. Short easy walking trails, lifeguard at the beach, families having cookouts…delightful. But the best part of the weekend was just sitting by the dock back at the property—feeding bread to the fish, kayaking on the lake, listening to the birds, toasting marshmallows at the fire pit. Our hosts were lovely people, very helpful and accommodating while also giving us privacy to be together. Will definitely return!

Beautiful stay

The rental was wonderful. Everything that we needed or wanted was provided. So some of things that I brought with us were already there. Fred warmly welcomed us and said if we needed anything just to let him know. Pat was very prompt responding to our emails. They kindly had the fire pit filled but we because of the weather we chose not to use it. We really did not want to leave, but we have to go back to work We do hooe to rent it again.

Perfect weekend getaway

We enjoyed 3 days of recreation and relaxation by the lake. We took the kayaks out multiple times. It takes about 60-90 minutes to slowly paddle around the lake. There's a beaver's dam to visit, loads of lily pads/flowers, fish, turtles, and ducks. Less than 5 minutes away is a small park with a nice swimming area and hiking trails -- $2 admission per car. The apartment was very nice. We enjoyed grilling out several of our meals. The kitchen was pretty well stocked with what you might need. The water was good for drinking. The wi-fi was very good. We were quite comfortable when we were there.

Peaceful little lake apartment with use of kayaks. Very close to the county beach and hiking trails.

Our basement apartment was roomy well appointed and clean with comfortable beds. We were out on the lake in kayaks everyday. The swimming area is small ,but there were floats to get out to deeper water. We brought our bikes and enjoyed riding around the other small lakes and farmland in the area. The property has plenty of outdoor space, tables and seats for outdoor dining, games and campfires. Our host were very friendly, welcoming people who patiently worked with us to resolve a booking glitch. Note: The apartment will sleep six , but the booking price is for two people. All other guests are additional. it’s important to understand that especially if you have a large family. We had a relaxing but active week at this property and would definitely consider going back again .
