「Louise and Matt made us very welcome and the cottage had everything we needed including all kitchen essentials.The garden is very relaxing and we were glad to be able to find lots of cool shady areas in the very hot weather that we had during our stay.Quite nicely situated for visiting the Lizard area and not too far to drive to get to the Penzance and Cape Cornwall areas. Recommended for garden lovers.」

「My son and I stayed at the cottage as we waited for our new home to become available, and it served as our first step in our new life in the area. It provided much-needed comfort and cosiness in a transitional period of our lives, as we explored the area and my son began his time in a new school. The owner was very responsive to questions. It definitely has a lived-in vibe: the owner lives there when not away, and it gives the property a very particular character!」

It was good location to explore nearby area in terms of the Lizard, Kyance cove etc. but also further afield to Penzance and Lands end. 「Such a peaceful spot. We had breakfast outside each morning while listening to the birds and then spotted constellations in the properly dark night sky. The cottage was well equipped with lots of quirky details, just as the name suggests and the location was perfect for us - handy for visiting family. The welcome was really warm, too. It would be lovely to return one day. 」

「We have stayed over long weekend in Mousehole Cottage and we loved it. Unlike many rental properties, this feels very homely. Cottage was easy to access, very clean and well equipped. It has nice space outside and lovely views. Location of the cottage is really good, 1 min walk to harbour or rock pools, shops, restaurants, galleries. Mousehole is a very charming little village. Would love to come back here for another holiday and would highly recommend booking Mousehole Cottage.」

Only downside was the bed. Neither my wife nor I like to sleep by the wall. And the mattress was a bit to soft for us, but that’s a personal preference 」
