"The cottage was an authentic Yorkshire experience. It was quaint, clean and comfortable. In the middle of Hawes with easy access to public parking. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend. May not suit people who have difficulty with stairs."

"Lovely hotel. Beautiful setting with an amazing view. The reviews we read before we stayed, said the staff were wonderful and friendly. Reviews often say this about hotels and we were just expecting the usual professional staff. However it must be said the staff were superb, stood out and had a major positive impact on our stay making it so enjoyable. The evening dinner very good. The breakfasts excellent. Definitely a place to stay."

"A wonderful, comfortable, clean, upside-down cottage in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales. We used the cottage to walk the fells and mountains of Wensleydale and Wharfedale, many of them within walking distance of Greystones cottage. A wander into Hawes and its surrounding areas are also possible without needing the car. Call into the local pub and its waterfall at Hardraw on the way back. We thoroughly enjoyed our Greystones experience and would certainly return at a later date."

"What a great stay at the White Hart Inn. Set in the middle of Hawes, wonderful breakfast and dinners, and a recently renovated room that was very comfortable. The staff were very helpful and polite. Would recommend."

"The cottage was traditional and quaint. The views from the windows were outstanding. The rooms were large and comfy. The only faults were the towels and bedding could do with renewing, and the on site parking is via an extremely tight access. Definitely would recommend to large groups as a great base for exploring the dales."

"We love Lilac Cottage, been here about 5 times and never fails to disappoint. Nothing immediate in the way of a shop in Sedbusk but that suits us as we like to walk into Hawes or to the Green Dragon for a pint at Hardraw. Sedbusk is just such a beautiful peaceful hamlet. The cottage is very old but homely, but has everything you need but don't expect a palace. Biggest compliment it that we keep returning."
